I don’t know about you but my days have just been incredibly hectic recently and I realise that I am running more often than I want.
The other day I carved out some much needed “quiet” time in my day, just 30 minutes in the studio before sunrise. It felt soooo good! As the day went on, it got busy (and stressful). In the evening I decided to “take it to the canvas” (the beauty of having a painting practice) to wind down, play and relax…
Then I looked at the painting and…..aha! It was so busy that it almost made me dizzy! This is what painting does: it always reflects back to you what is going on in your life. It’s like a wonderful, gentle, trusted friend that is always there for you! The painting illuminated for me that I wanted more peace (and less busy!). So I painted peace into the canvas and in doing so I created some peace and quiet for myself.
I think we can all benefit from slowing down and have more peace.
Do you feel that you need to slow down and have some quiet time? If you do, this week I invite you to pick up a brush and paint some peace into a canvas. Give it a try, and let me know how it feels.
I made this video for you about painting more peace.
